Prefuse 73 - "Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian"

requested album! prefuse 73! scott herren! this is the most recent album of his. daisy's not listened to much prefuse 73, but she has listened to previous albums' tracks like "perverted undertone" and "storm returns" (both from one word extinguisher). the general consensus of the last.fm page of this album seems to be pretty positive.

daisy would like to mention that this album has many short shorts (29 songs, the longest being over 4 minutes).

Modest Mouse - "The Moon and Antarctica"

one of the best modest mouse albums, daisy feels. this one contains the bonus tracks, as well. super enjoyable. some of the best modest mouse lyrics, daisy tells me to write. while writing in her journals, filling them with poetry, she finds this album to be the one that evokes a greater creative passion for writing, especially concerning melancholic topics. this album also makes for a great one to listen to in the winter.

daisy finds great enjoyment in this album. she JUST heard of Fuck Buttons the other day, and JUST got the album. so she's not all the way through, but she's jamming out with her clam out to the first 2 minutes of "Surf Solar". HOLYFUUUUU.

daisy finds herself immersed in pure bliss when engaged in the listening of these amazing albums. her (as well as mine) favourite band--Sigur Rós-- hails from the beautiful Iceland, and this beauty is mirrored in their music. she wishes to expose their beauty and wonderful music to you, dear reader.

Tom Waits - "Real Gone"

What a fan daisy is of Tom Waits. His rough singing brings her satisfaction, coupled with the lyrics of the album, some of them politically based. she holds a partial connection to "day after tomorrow", as her father served in 'Nam, only to come back missing a leg, haunted by his experiences.

an interesting fact: this is the first Waits album without a piano featured.

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head - "Glistening Pleasure"

Smith and Libman's [members of the band] first written songs for Natalie Portman's Shaved Head were about "fruit snacks and partying". The band claimed one of the reasons they formed the band was to get girlfriends

when daisy hits the clubs, without the intent of picking up the dude-dogs, she likes to party while listening to NPSH. when with her girlfriends, she drives to menchies and hangs near the car while eating her frozen yoghurt, "bedroom clothes" blaring out of her friend's mom's SUV.

when alone, though, daisy appreciates the wit and surrealism of the lyrics. she loves to recommend this album to her favourite online communities.

5 out of 5 paws for this album. daisy loves this album coupled with her reflective evenings. the tracks, ranging from 11 minutes to 22 minutes, never bore. to be trite, daisy feels that this album has very epic qualities (existing, in itself, is very epic). the sweeping sounds made by the five piece collective take you through a winding, wild hallways of musical adventures to one room. this one room is the climax of each song, and in it is the burst of emotion and senses used to create each piece.

my dog, daisy, thoroughly enjoys this album. she can often be found driving at high speeds around assisted living centers blasting this album with her top of the line soundsystem, much to the adoration of old, christian grandmothers and girl scouts.
